Software Engineer / Developer

Hello! My name is Bobby and I'm the Lead XR Programmer at California State University, San Bernardino. I am currently developing multiple VR experiences within the Unity and Unreal game engines. These applications are being implemented within classrooms in order to provide students a better medium for understanding the material.

UnrealC++GitVisual Studio

About:

A multiplayer VR game developed for the University of New Mexico. This project is being used to conduct a research study in order to test whether environmental embodiment within the simulation is correlated to increased social connectedness.

Contributions:

  • Led a team of programmers and artists in the development of the project
  • Met with the clients on a regular basis in order to articulate the requirements of creating the application to their satisfaction
  • Engineered gameplay solutions to provide a better multiplayer experience

A VR simulation created to test and educate college nursing students. This project was developed within the Unity game engine by a team using Git for source control. (This video is from a very early point in development, a new video will be posted soon.)

Contributions:

  • Worked on a large portion of the state machine which controlled the flow of the AI
  • Created a launcher which sends encrypted student information to the professor for grading
  • Worked on interactable objects within the simulation, such as the sink
